PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The Automated Deformation Monitoring System (ADMS) is deployed to monitor ground settlement across airport taxiways in real time, ensuring structural integrity and operational safety amid ongoing underground construction. Utilizing robotic total stations in conjunction with reflectorless targets, the system delivers precise, continuous data on surface movement caused by the progression of the tunnel boring machine (TBM) beneath. This automated setup allows for non-intrusive, high-frequency measurements without disrupting airport operations, enabling engineers to detect any differential settlement early and take corrective action promptly to mitigate risks.
