PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
MSP implemented its Automated Deformation Monitoring System (ADMS) for the Proposed Residential Flat Housing with Commercial at 1st Storey Development—Upperhouse Condo at Orchard Boulevard, a 38-storey apartment block project with multi-storey and basement carparks. Given the development’s location within close proximity to the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL)—specifically between Orchard Boulevard MRT Station (TE13) and Napier MRT Station (TE12)—the ADMS was deployed to monitor potential ground and structural movements induced by underground tunnel activities. The system utilizes high-precision robotic total stations and prisms strategically installed on the surrounding structures to deliver continuous, real-time data on vertical and horizontal settlement. This automated solution ensures early detection of any displacement, enabling proactive response and mitigation while ensuring construction activities remain compliant with safety standards and regulatory requirements in this high-density urban environment.
