PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Viaduct Monitoring for Contract N111: Instrumentation Works for Design & Construction of North-South Corridor (Tunnel & Viaduct) between Ang Mo Kio Avenue 9 & SG Seletar

For Contract N111, covering the instrumentation works for the Design and Construction of the North-South Corridor (NSC)—including both tunnel and viaduct structures between Ang Mo Kio Avenue 9 and SG Seletar—MSP deployed its RAPID™ Automated Deformation Monitoring System (ADMS) to monitor the structural integrity of the newly constructed viaducts.

Using high-precision robotic total stations, the system was configured to provide continuous, automated tracking of deformation at critical points along the viaducts. Reflective prisms were strategically installed on the structure to detect both vertical and horizontal displacements in real time. This monitoring setup enabled prompt detection of any settlement or movement during and after construction, ensuring that structural behavior remained within safe and acceptable limits. The ADMS enhanced site safety, informed engineering decisions, and provided assurance of compliance with regulatory and project specifications.
